She was brutally honest about everything she spoke. The anger is because of not getting the deserved recognition at the right time. She didn't want to sing as they requested her for a stage formality but she did fulfill the audience's genuine request to sing. Hats Off for her honesty on stage and that's what makes her special ❤️. As a singer who has sung in so many reality shows and gone unnoticed now, I have experienced the pain of not getting the right recognition at the right time. It hurts me so much when she says that she didn't get any awards during her period. I had met her in person 10 yrs ago and she is such a high spirited genuine person and she is not at all rude like how some ppl tell about her in the comment section. Her unique voice and the way she holds her self-respect on stage is truly inspiring✨
Yes I agree the hosts should have diverted the topic to something else like asking about her career experience, debut time struggles etc. But its alright, they have been guided as well. It happens

She is very popular and her devotional songs are All time hits during Aadi month. Carnatic music artistes Violinist Mirdangam vocal veena & flute artists got recognised with padma Awards. It's very pathetic that her powerpacked voice grabbed a huge audience that too she is a perfect secular Artist.

True. She never received a single award under “best playback singer” category. Just some honours like kalaimamani, life time achievement awards, that’s all. She deserved awards for many of the songs. In 70s and 80s all the awards were reserved for Janaki amma and Chitra respectively. Judges failed to honour other singers.

I think, L R Esawri amma should get award for the song she did sing 'muthukulika vaarigala' in 'anubhavi raja anubhavi' movie. Because, she did sing good and no one sang like L R Eswari amma.

@@vartinivartini725 in one of her interviews LR E said the song MACHAN AI PAATHENGALA was to be recorded in her voice which the producer suggested but IR only wanted in SJ voice she had narrated her ordeal it is in u tube also moreover we all know IR always chose only SJ for 9o percent of his songs chitra was given second priority PS VANI JAIRAM selected few songs only LR E only two but no one can question any music director they are owners of their respective songs WE CAN ONLY TALK BEHIND

It is not IR who ignored her, it was LRE who ignored and looked down on IR as new budding MD, but SJ helped IR, they were both closely associated in Kannada Cinema Industry under MD G.Venkatesh.
The true inccident was "IR wants LRE to sing two songs: Machaana Paarthingala and Kuththa samba.
At that point of time IR was no one! Two of his previous debut movies being shelved before production.
Those days such a background history will leaves black mark and considered unlucky among the sentiment mongering money making cinema industry.
LRE refused to sing for new MD. Obviously not for free and to on a Sunday.
On the other hand Panchu Arunachalam had an issue with his brother to book IR for the Annakili movie, Panchu was so firm and trusted IR will excel, since cinema is a serious money business to appease his brother and to build his confident.. Panchu asked IR for a rehearsal (which is an unpaid concert and held on a Sunday), all his close friends helped IR for free, IR organised the team for the rehearsal and SJ also came for free to help him out!
LRE forgotten her past .. how she was rejected by many and being humiliated. But she did the same belittled the new upcoming MD. Not being wise.
IR was not upset for LRE refuse to sing but the word she spewed " kelvi pattan raasi illaathavarunu...pudhusaa varangalukellaam naan paadurathu illai" a toxic reply, he kept that in his mind.
He paid his gratitude to SJ and SPB (the copyright/ royalty is recent issues), TMS also belittled IR openly in Malaysian concert and that's way he also end up in IR's blacklist.
Ellaarom manithargal ellaorukkum viruppu veruppu irukkum.
But I always think LRE lost the golden opportunity, LRE mattum paadiyirunthaa under IR vera level'luku poyirupaanga.... hmm ellam karma!
I wish before I die I want to listen machaana paarthingala in LRE's voice.
